Creating a portal between Hospital and Museum, between patients and learners so to humanise medicine, remove associated stigmas and reveal much hope and positivity
Red Cross Children’s Hospital is a remarkable place with an impressive and accoladed history. With an interactive exhibition, we aim to showcase its brave, strong and positive child patients as well as the incredible work the Hospital and its doctors have achieved.
Primary focus will be given to linking the Hospital to the Museum: linking children in and of the Hospital to visiting groups of the Museum. By creating this link and providing a portal into the Hospital, we aim to evoke an emotional response and humanise medicine (and patients) so to remove the associated stigmas that often scare children, and reveal the hope and positivity beyond. This link will also ensure that the exhibit remains current and relevant.
